Safeguard is suitable for use in early spring and early fall. Each 25 gram tube contains 10% fenbendazole, and is suitable for use in horses, foals and pregnant mares. Each tube has a palatable apple cinnamon taste, and is effective against small strongyles, large strongyles, pinworms and ascarids. Be sure to contact your vetrinarian for assistance in the diagnoses, treatment and control of parasitism, particularly to reduce compound resistance in parasites.
